Michael Fallon has been newly appointed as Energy Minister, replacing John Hayes.
Mr Hayes will now become a political and parliamentary advisor to the Prime Minister.
Mr Fallon is currently a Minister of State at the Department for Business, Innovation and Skills (BIS) and will be working in that role in addition to becoming a Minister of State at the Department of Energy and Climate Change (DECC).
According to a report on Energy Live News, Mr Fallon is “effective and no-nonsense” and will work towards a green and low carbon economy.
